-Product Highlights

The Easy-Clean Pull-Out Magnetic Grid – also known as an easy-clean pull-out magnetic grate, slide-out magnetic grid separator, or drawer-style magnetic grate — is a stainless steel magnetic separation unit built around a two-part design: a fixed outer frame that mounts directly into an existing hopper, chute, or duct opening, and an inner magnetic rod tray that lifts straight out in a single motion for cleaning. Unlike designs that require releasing a separate latch or interlock before the rods can be withdrawn, the entire rod assembly slides free of the frame in one continuous pull — no tools, no secondary release step, and no partial disassembly, with a full cleaning cycle completed in under 15 seconds. Built for continuous-duty powder and granulate lines across food, chemical, plastics, and pharmaceutical processing, it delivers passive, energy-free ferrous contamination control with minimal hands-on maintenance time.

Product Information

Working Principle

Material flows by gravity through the open frame and across the parallel magnetic rods mounted inside the pull-out tray. Ferrous and weakly magnetic contaminants are drawn out of the flow and held to the surface of each rod’s outer stainless steel tube as the product passes over it. Each magnetic core is sealed inside its own stationary tube sleeve; when the operator grips the integrated handle and withdraws the tray, the cores are drawn out of their sleeves in the same single motion. As each core clears its sleeve, that section of tube loses magnetic attraction and the captured debris drops away cleanly on its own — no scraping or wiping required. Because the frame stays mounted in the chute throughout the cleaning cycle, there’s no need to disturb surrounding ductwork or re-align a housing after each cleaning pass, and the full cycle is tested at under 15 seconds.

Structure and Materials

The outer frame and rod tray are both fabricated from stainless steel, with the rod tray built to slide on guided rails inside the frame for consistent alignment on reinsertion. Magnetic rods are mounted in parallel at fixed spacing across one or two rows depending on model size, with each rod housed in a sealed stainless steel tube around a high-flux NdFeB permanent magnet core, available in N35 and N45 grades and quality-inspected prior to shipment. Surface finish is Ra 0.6 µm. The design is built in line with ATEX dust-explosion-zone principles for use around combustible powders (formal ATEX certification available on request, not currently held as a standing certificate). Standard construction uses SUS304 or SUS316L stainless steel depending on chemical exposure and sanitary requirements.

  • ATEX-certified version
  • Higher-temperature configurations beyond the standard range

Key Advantages

  1. Faster Cleaning, Fewer Steps — A single continuous pull removes the entire rod tray in one motion — no separate latch to release or interlock to disengage — with a full cleaning cycle tested at under 15 seconds, cutting a step out of the routine compared to two-stage pull-out designs.
  2. Consistent Realignment — Guided rail tracks keep the rod tray aligned with the frame on every reinsertion, so magnetic coverage across the flow path stays consistent cleaning after cleaning.
  3. Zero Running Cost — As a fully passive permanent-magnet system, the unit requires no electricity and has no consumable parts, with minimal field decay over years of continuous service.
  4. Drop-In Retrofit — As a drawer magnet design, the fixed frame installs into existing chute, hopper, or duct openings without welding or structural changes, making it straightforward to add to lines that didn’t originally include magnetic separation.
  5. Suited to Combustible Powder Environments — Built in line with ATEX dust-zone design principles, the unit is a practical fit for facilities handling fine organic or combustible powders where reducing ignition risk from tramp metal matters.
  6. Supports Quality Audit Requirements — Consistent, documented ferrous removal down to fine, micron-sized contamination helps plants demonstrate compliance during quality and safety audits, without relying on manual inspection alone.

Applications & Industrial Value

Easy-Clean Pull-Out Magnetic Grids are widely used across food processing, chemical manufacturing, plastics and resin handling, and pharmaceutical production, wherever dry powders or granulates need continuous ferrous contamination control at a hopper, chute, or duct inlet. As a drawer magnet retrofit, it’s a common upgrade for lines that need better contamination control without a full equipment changeover. By removing tramp metal before it reaches downstream mixers, extruders, or packaging equipment, the unit protects processing assets from mechanical wear while helping maintain consistent product purity — with a cleaning routine fast enough for lines that require frequent servicing without extended downtime.
